In the near future we have created a cure for cancer - or so it seems. Very quickly it transpires that this cure actually turns everyone into man-eating vampire-zombies except our hero Robert Neville (Will Smith). Neville is some kind of military general / scientist who takes it upon himself to remain in New York (which for some reason is "ground zero") to try and develop a cure.

Great scenery and good action - it all looks very nice and very "end of the world" but is ultimately unsatisfying and predictable.
